SHIFTING SANDS
& OTHER STORIES

An exhibition by myself,  Patrick Will Baker, at The Fisherman's Hut Gallery, Dunwich exploring the ephemeral nature of the East Anglian coastline and beauty of the natural world around us

18th to 24th April, 2025

Open daily, 9am to 6pm

The Fisherman's Hut Gallery is located at Dunwich Beach Car Park, next to the Flora Tea Rooms.
Parking is free, but please consider donating to local charities.

If you've not visited Dunwich before the car park is a great starting place for a number of circular walks...

Why not strut south along the beach to the Coastguard Cottages for a cream tea? Then either on, over Dunwich Heath to take in Westleton, or back along the clifftop via the ruins of Greyfriars Monastery.

Or head north along the shingle bank to Walberswick with its selection of pubs and tearooms, before heading back via Dingle Marsh. You can always extend your walk by taking the ferry or footbridge over to Southwold.

Either way, or if you don't want to head far, there's fish and chips and much more to enjoy either next door at Flora Tearooms or at the atmospheric Ship Inn.

Be sure to visit the wonderful Dunwich Museum before leaving to fully appreciate the effects of the changing nature of the shifting coastline and discover the fascinating story of the Lost City of Dunwich.
